BlackBerry rumoured to be building three Android phones

The future of BlackBerry is on Android, it seems. It’s being reported that BlackBerry is working on three new Android handsets.

Evan Blass reports that the three handsets are codenamed Neon, Argon, and Mercury.

The Neon is expected to be released by the end of August and will target the low to mid-range market. It will supposedly feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3GB RAM, and 16GB storage. Unlike many BlackBerry handsets, the Neon won’t feature a physical keyboard.

Likewise, the Argon will leave the physical keyboard behind when it comes out this October. It features a 5.5-inch QHD-resolution screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB of storage. It is believed that the Argon will be a high-end phone and will also boast a fingerprint reader, a 21-megapixel camera, a USB-C charging port.

Finally, early next year, BlackBerry is expected to release the Mercury. This will feature a physical keyboard, as well as 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It’s thought that this will also be a mid-range device.
