Journey's spiritual successor takes you on an underwater adventure

One of the minds behind Flower and Journey, Matt Nava, left thatgamecompany and set up a new studio, Giant Squid. The developer has released its first trailer for Abzû, which looks quite like Journey.

Abzû is set underwater and the trailer indicates that it will be Journey with swimming. That's not necessarily a bad thing; Journey was an exceptional and emotive game. Given that Matt Nava was art director at thatgamecompany, his style was always going to carry over.

Abzû is scheduled for release in August on PC and PlayStation 4.
