Wreck-It Ralph 2 official - coming in 2018
Anyway the film was a decent success at the box office and, more importantly, a hit with both audiences and critics. And now there's a sequel with Disney confirming the release of Wreck-it Ralph 2 for 2018.
This doesn't come as a massive surprise as original voice star John C Reilly accidentally mentioned he was attached to the sequel at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2015. Still it's good to get an official release date on the board.
The early word is that Sarah Silverman will also be returning to lend her voice to the film, and that 'Ralph is going to wreck the Internet.' That's purposefully vague for now, but transitioning to connected computer systems just makes sense, perhaps through a revival of the original title?
Rich Moore is back as director, this time with some helming help from co-writer Phil Johnston. They've been involved in things like The Simpsons, Zootopia and Futurama so the show is in good hands.
Wreck-it Ralph 2 is set for March 2018 in the States, we don't have a confirmed Irish release date yet.
