Street Fighter V gets a dramatic story mode trailer

Street Fighter V’s free story mode will be released this week and a trailer has been released to build up the hype.

The trailer reveals that Shadaloo has gotten its hands on some tech that will unleash havoc upon the world. But thankfully, there are some willing to take the fight to the group. The synopsis says that Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li embark on a journey around the world to retrieve fragment pieces that are the key to stopping the “Black Moons” before it’s too late.

Of course, along the way, they’ll meet the rest of the World Warriors who have their own agendas and motives. The trailer sees familiar faces squaring off against one another, including Chun-Li being talked down to by Bison, and Guile facing his old friend, Nash.

Street Fighter V’s story mode features DLC characters that haven’t yet been released, such as Juri and Urien, while those that you’d have to pay for otherwise also make an appearance. Alongside this update, Ibuki and Balrog are joining the roster, but you will have to pay to unlock them for regular play.
