Why Him? Red Band Trailer- Bryan Cranston hates James Franco

We're still not entirely sure what to think about actor/poet/director/person James Franco, but Bryan Cranston certainly doesn't keep his feelings to himself in the red band trailer for Why Him?

There's a lot of bad language here, you have been warned.

That is one trailer that's really oddly short on laughs. Firstly Franco, at 38, is too old to be a 'young' tech billionaire, and cursing a lot isn't really a way to build a genuinely funny character. Other than Megan Mulally, it seems like most of the folks here are playing it pretty straight, maybe the barely glimpsed Keegan-Michael Key can bring a few more laughs.

Or maybe not as this is the latest from John Hamburg who helmed Along Came Polly and wrote the likes of Zoolander 2, Meet the Fockers and Meet the Parents. He's rarely worked with an R-rating before (hence the potty mouth) but we'll have to wait and see if the gags were obscurely left out of the trailer. At least Cranston is always good value.

Why Him? is in cinemas in Ireland in January, 2017.
