These funky animal sculptures are made from recycled flip-flops, brought in by the tide brings at Watamu Bay, Kenya.

Around 400,000 flip-flops are revitalised in this way each year, whilst also offering employment to local tradespeople.

Their handiwork is then offered to tourists visiting the region and have also been exported globally.

This project is just part of larger effort to clean up beaches in the area with tonnes of rubbish deposited by the tide every day.
