VIDEO Maisie Williams kills it in her Game of Thrones audition tape

Game of Thrones season 6 came to an explosive end last night with the final episode. And we're being pretty literal when we use the word 'explosive!'

Things are about to (finally) get serious in Westeros as the pieces are moving to prepare for the end of this great game, we might even see some dragons getting their claws dirty in the final two seasons.

Since 2010, one of the standout characters has been Arya Stark as played by the wonderful Maisie Williams and you can see the spark which got the young actress the part in this excellent audition tape. She's paired with Sophie Turner who would also end up on the show as her sister Sansa.

Williams is really great here and Sansa is, well, Sansa. It's hard to know if her part has just been woefully underwritten or just poorly performed over the last few years but she remains one of the least interesting characters in an increasingly small field. Let's hope she has more to do in Season 7.

Arya, for her part, will certainly be busy - and we're not going to go into any more spoilers than that. Game of Thrones season 7 is likely to arrive in April 2017.
