Balrog enters the ring in Street Fighter V reveal trailer

This week’s update for Street Fighter V will add the long-awaited story mode, as well as two new characters, Ibuki and Balrog.

We’ve already seen what Ibuki has to offer thanks to a previous trailer, and now it’s Balrog’s time to strut his stuff. Like his Street Fighter IV incarnation, Balrog features an array of rush punches, brutal looking throws, and spinning punches that can get him in against projectile-based characters.

The trailer also shows glimpses of Juri and Urien who will be added as DLC characters in the future. However, with the addition of the story mode, you will be able to play as them in advance. Urien’s appearance has startled fans who aren’t used to him being fully dressed (he did wear a suit in Third Strike, but ripped it off immediately to reveal nothing more than a loincloth).

Balrog, Ibuki, and the story mode will be added to Street Fighter V as part of an update later this week.
