This Mullingar pub has made the Italians an offer they can't refuse

A pub in Mullingar has made a strong offer to the Italians in advance of tonight’s make or break match.

John Daly’s Pub posted a pic of the board outside their establishment that has since gone viral.

It reads:

"Dear (good friend) Italy

"You know the way we think you’re sound and we love your wine, restaurants, chippers and (women)…

We will boycott all of these if you don’t let us win on Wednesday.

Lots of love, everyone in Ireland."

Whoa whoa whoa…hang on a sec.

Italy, they don’t speak for the entire country - some of us would rather never qualify again than give up pizza. And prosecco. And those lovely chipper chips.

Come at us.

They ended with a shout out to Belgian beer and chocolate - but what about Ikea? And Abba? We’re torn.
