We all know of Donald Trump’s wish to build a wall to keep Mexicans out of the US.

Well, in Scotland they’ve reacted in typically rebellious fashion to Mr Trump’s idea.

Freelance reporter, Simon Usborne, saw a Mexican flag raised close to Trump’s golf course near Aberdeen.

He tweeted a photo of it, saying: "Someone has raised the Mexican flag on the border of Trump’s wildly unpopular golf course near Aberdeen."

A local action group in Scotland, trippinguptrump.co.uk has retweeted the photo, saying: "Not cheeky, merely supportive of all those the imbecile has denigrated to date."

The group represents local residents in the Menie Estate, just north of Aberdeen, who have been protesting against the Trump International Golf Links since it opened four years ago.

One of those residents is a man called David Milne, who told Buzzfeed that it was a local farmer called Michael Forbes who raised the flag on a plot of land he owns near a bunker on the course.

Mr Milne said: "The point of the flag is to show solidarity with the Mexicans and every other group that Trump has decried, derided, insulted and tried to marginalise."

The Republican presidential nominee is due to fly to Scotland later this week to open another golf course, the Trump Turnberry, in Ayrshire before visiting his course in Aberdeenshire.
