Sports reporter has live broadcast interrupted by French police chasing alleged thief

Sky Sports Italia journalist Angelo Mangiante learned the lesson that anything can happen during a live broadcast while doing a piece to camera at Euro 2016.

It has become harder for reporters to do live links these days, especially at sporting events, thanks to rowdy members of the public looking for a moment of fame. You only need to look at the death of reports outside football grounds on Transfer Deadline Day for evidence of that.

For Mangiante it was the French police that would turn his Euro 2016 update into a crime report.

As he was speaking to those back in the studio, a suspect bursts into the background of the shot - closely pursued by police.

The suspect, who was allegedly involved in a theft, was then apparently apprehended just off camera.
