Psyonix says EA turned down Rocket League

EA unveiled its first EA Originals title at E3 and said that the programme is all about “finding the next Rocket League.” Psyonix’s design director Corey Davis found this amusing as the developer actually pitched Rocket League to EA.

Taking to Twitter, Davis revealed, "We actually pitched the game to EA Partners in 2011, so I'm not sure what would be different this time around!"

EA’s Executive VP Patrick Söderlund told IGN, "Would I want to be the guy that found Rocket League? Yes. Would I want that to be an EA property? Of course I would like to."
