This gran's polite Google search is the sweetest thing you'll see today

Grans are the best. They slip you tenners, always remember your birthday and would rather die than see you go hungry (or anything short of stuffed).

And most have unfailing standards when it comes to manners - just look at this lady’s request to Google to translate some Roman numerals.

Her grandson Ben John posted a screengrab of the search to Twitter and it’s quickly gone viral, leaving a trail of melted hearts everywhere.

Sure it costs nothing to be polite. Even to inanimate search engines - they do work very hard.

And Google UK seem to have appreciated it, tweeting back this sweet response.
