#TwoMenKissing is trending following Orlando massacre

The hashtag #TwoMenKissing is trending on Twitter as those online begin to weigh in on Sunday’s Pulse nightclub shooting.

At least 50 people were shot dead when a gunman wielding an assault-type rifle and a handgun opened fire inside a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

Homophobic sentiment was reportedly at the root of the attack and #TwoMenKissing takes a defiant stance against it.

The shooter’s father reportedly said that his son became angry after seeing two men kissing in Miami.

If homophobia is at the root of the attack, then #TwoMenKissing is a heartwarming trend which shows that love should never be an excuse for violence and bigotry.
