Mafia 3 has an Irish main character - E3 trailer reveal
The game has just shown off another huge slice of gameplay which introduced the different areas of this invented New Bordeaux (based on New Orleans) in 1968. As Lincoln Clay you'll take on the Italian mob in a revenge plot but there's also more going on as you'll look to set up your own gang to take over.
Naturally, you'll need some help to do that, including the power of three under bosses. And naturally one of them is an Irish fella called Burke. You can find out about him about 2.30 into this huge slice of action.
What's a game without a random Irish character? At least the accent sounds ok. Thankfully that's just one small part of Mafia III and the rest of the video shows off just how complex the game is going to be, as you work in various ways to bring down the Italian mob, cutting off their money and supply network and making sure that they get weaker over time.
Of course you also kill a lot of folks, at it looks especially bloodthirsty even by the standards of the open world crime genre. Here's a flashier trailer.
It's great to see how much depth is going to be in the game, alongside the wealth of story and the impressively detailed city to drive around in.
Mafia 3 is coming out on the 7th of October, 2016.
