Beer of the week: Long Meadow Blossom Burst Cider, 4.5% abv, 500ml — €2.99

Stockists: Widely available in Northern Ireland, Egans Portlaoise, Donnybrook Fair, Selected SuperValu (Palmerstown, Skerries)

Pale golden in colour with rich aromas of sweet baked apples.

Rich and luscious on the palate with a creamy apple pie character, a light fizz and with just enough acidity on the finish.

This is a rich summer cider for drinking in the garden with maybe a bowl of sweet strawberries on the side.
