OnePlus 3 gets official announcement date

After plenty of speculation and leaks, we now know that the OnePlus 3 will be announced on June 15.

A teaser image, which was shared on the OnePlus Weibo page, features a large 3 and June 15 as the date. The phone will be unveiled at 10am in Shenzhen, which translates to 3am BST. Previous rumours indicated it would be announced on June 14, which is the case if you happen to live in the US.

OnePlus says that the handset will go on sale in China on June 16. It hasn’t revealed when it’ll be released elsewhere.

Unfortunately for OnePlus, we may already know quite a bit about the OnePlus 3. Rumours indicate that it will feature a slim metal shell, a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, and 8MP front-facing camera, and a 3,000mAh battery.
