Myspace hacked – And why you should care

While you may not have logged into Myspace for years, a recent security breach may affect you.

More than 360 million account details were stolen, according to LeakedSource.com, a paid hacker search engine. If you created your account before June 11, 2013, your login details could be up for sale online.

Time, Inc. says that it was alerted to a hack in which millions of usernames, passwords, and e-mail addresses were acquired. As some of these accounts had a second password attached to them, it’s estimated that the number of compromised passwords stands at more than 427 million.
