No Man's Sky dev gets death threats over delay

Last week, it was revealed that No Man’s Sky’s release would be pushed back until August. And some people are extremely unhappy, to the extent that they’re sending the developer death threats.

Co-founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, revealed on Twitter that he has been receiving death threats from fans over the announced delay. "I have received loads of death threats this week, but don't worry, Hello Games now looks like the house from Home Alone #pillowfort,” he tweeted.

"Tell me when it’s safe to remove the marbles and oil from the stairs. It's getting really cumbersome, and I need the toilet," he added.

No Man’s Sky isn’t short of ambition; it promises around 18 quintillion planets and a universe so expansive that you’re unlikely to meet too many other fellow players. Delays happen, but they should almost be expected when dealing with something of this scale.

No Man’s Sky is now scheduled for release on August 12th.
