Original X-COM creator announces new project

Julian Gollop, the mind behind the original X-COM back in the day, has announced a new project that will harken back to that game.

In a post on Twitter, Gollop wrote that he is going back to his sci-fi roots with Phoenix Point. This is "an XCOM style game that incorporates the modern presentation and slick game play of the Firaxis reboot with the more strategic, open-world approach of the very first X-COM game from 1994."

He also pitched to both investors and publishers that he would like to chat to in order to raise funding for the projects.
