Quicksilver's epic Apocalypse scene took three weeks to film

The filmmakers immediately promised something bigger and better for its sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse. We won't spoil it, but we will say that it is a visual and aural treat!

The quality of the end result may be less surprising when you learn that it took three weeks just to shoot this sequence. Evan Peters, who plays Quicksilver, talked to CinemaBlend about the experience of shooting the scene.

"It took like 20-something days. Yeah – ‘Whoa.’ It was insane. It was a lot. But it was very fun, and we just basically tried to top the last one, right? Make it bigger, better, longer, more interesting, funnier… It was cool – and the song is great too!" he said.

That means that this one sequence ate up nearly a quarter of Apocalypse's entire production schedule.

X-Men: Apocalypse is now in cinemas if you want to see the sequence for yourself.
