PayPal killing off Windows Phone and BlackBerry support

PayPal launched a new version of its mobile app that it is asking Android and iOS users to upgrade to until the end of June. However, Windows Phone and BlackBerry users are being told that support for the app will end on June 30.

In a blog post, PayPal Vice President Joanna Lambert said that it will sunset the current version if the PayPal app on June 30. But Windows Phone and BlackBerry users will be able to access PayPal through its mobile web experience.

Lambert wrote, "It was a difficult decision to no longer support the PayPal app on these mobile platforms, but we believe it’s the right thing to ensure we are investing our resources in creating the very best experiences for our customers."
