Wolverine 3 villains may be familiar faces

While Wolverine 3 will see Hugh Jackman taking on an original villain played by Boyd Holbrook, it's now being reported that he'll also face off against the Reavers.

The Reavers are a group of cyborgs that aren't too fond of mutants and operate under the instructions of Donald Pierce - a former member of The Hellfire Club. In the comics, it's alleged that Pierce built the Reavers specifically for the elimination of mutants...as well as some races of humans.

Alternatively, there could be a connection to the post-credit scene of X-Men: Apocalypse, but we won't go into too much detail on that side of things just yet.

Nerdist received confirmation from a source close to the production that this group will be making an appearance. It looks like old man Logan is going to have quite the fight on his hands.

Wolverine 3 also stars Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant and Elise Neal. The film is scheduled for release on March 2, 2017.
