Mobile hit Fruit Ninja to become live-action movie

Hollywood is turning its attention to the world of video games once again. We've had Angry Birds, Warcraft is out very soon, and then Assassin's Creed. Most recently we heard news that there's going to be a trilogy of films based on Tetris. Now, it's being reported that Fruit Ninja is to be turned into a "live-action family comedy."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Fruit Ninja film is to be produced by Tripp Vinson (San Andreas, The Number 23) at his company Vinson Films. Chad Damiani and J.P. Lavin, who are adapting Chuck Sambuchino's humour book How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack: Defend Yourself When the Lawn Warriors Strike (And They Will), are penning the script.
