Brash 'help wanted' sign rules out quite a few people but gets huge response

A London butcher posted a frank and forward job advertisement in his shop window that has caught the attention of more than prospective butchers.

Brash 'help wanted' sign rules out quite a few people but gets huge response

William Rose Butchers in East Dulwich placed a poster in his window looking for staff, but he was very specific about what he was looking for.

The poster read:

Saturday staff required,

No drama queens

No drunks

No drug addicts

No emotional wrecks

No mummys boys

No scruffs

Hardworking yes

The direct no-nonsense approach appears to have worked for the straight-talking butcher who found two suitable candidates that meet the criteria as well as attracting the attention of a myriad of news agencies curious about the man behind the sign.

Mr Rose told the Metro.co.uk: "I am by nature a very direct person so the advert was written to get maximum response and it did.

"95% of the reaction has been positive and been accepted as good humour and we’re giving a trial to two ladies this morning."

The now infamous butcher is sure to have picked up a few new customers thanks to the unexpected advertising and may need to hire again due to bustling trade.

We are sure there are a few strait-laced, hardworking baggage-free butchers awaiting their chance with bated breath!
