It seems Irish audiences are really, really into The Jungle Book - as Disney's family friendly feature has just become the highest grossing film of the year in Irish cinemas.

The film has earned a massive €3.8 million in Ireland since its release back in mid April and has managed to be a serious hit with kids and grownups alike. That puts it ahead of box office heavyweights like Batman v Superman and Deadpool for this year.

Around the world, The Jungle Book has earned over $828 (€730) million to become one of the biggest films of the year, and part of a marquee season for Disney as they smash earning records.
