The team has been working with The Tetris Company for over a year. Larry Kasanoff, who produced the Mortal Kombat movie, will produce this project and is said to be in Cannes in search of international sales partners.

The sci-fi thriller, according to Kasanoff, is "not at all what you think; it will be a cool surprise." It’s said that this will be the first of a trilogy.

The Tetris movie will start filming next year in China and other locations, and will feature a Chinese cast.
