Seth Rogen explains why Superbad 2 shouldn't happen
Speaking with Cinemablend, who mentioned that Judd Apatow had expressed interest in a sequel, Rogen dismissed the idea. âTo us, it was such a personal story. It was about us, and there was just no⊠So what?â he said.
âNow the next one is about how weâre going to college? But we didnât go to college together. I didnât go to college. It seemed very inorganic, but that was the only reason, really.â
He also explained that itâs become harder to write for a younger audience and younger characters. Rogen said, âI donât know how I would write a movie about high school kids now, or around that age.â
âEven the small, the girls, the sorority girls in [Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising], it was very hard to write their characters. We have to talk to them a lot about what they would do and say in the situations that we had presented.â
Neighbours 2 is now in cinemas.
