Man rescues driver from burning wreckage -sets up camera first

Following a serious car crash a passer by, Santiago Portillo, rushed to the aid of the driver, pulling him from his blazing vehicle and calling on others to call an ambulance.

An admirable feat, but people are a little sceptical about the man’s motives.

Before rushing to the aid of driver, Santiago first set up his camera to catch his brave action on film.

Santiago recorded his dramatic rescue in Riverside, California.

The rescues was then uploaded to YouTube entitled ’Brave Citizen Saves Driver From Burning Car’.

The man’s heroic actions were widely broadcast across America on ABC news and News Channel 3, but the the irony of the situation was not lost on his YouTube audience who had a few smart comments to make about the man’s priorities.

"Call 911 because my phone is recording this."

"Set the camera first, because seconds count!!! Hahahaha!"

"Before I save this man’s life, let me get a good angle of it lol"

Not quite the infamy he was going for we think.
