LG unveils Action CAM that streams to YouTube
As the name implies, it features built-in LTE connectivity, so you can broadcast to YouTube without the need for a smartphone. It features a 12.3-megapixel camera with a 1/2.3-inch sensor, GPS, and motion sensors.
It is capable of recording video at ultra HD resolution at 30 frames per second, and 720p HD resolution at 120fps for slow-motion. It’s also possible to record videos at 1080p full HD at 60fps. Streaming directly to YouTube reduces this to 720p at 30fps.
The Action CAM supports microSD cards of up to 2TB, and its 1,400mAh battery should last for around four hours of continuous recording of 1080p videos, according to Mashable. It is IP67 rated, meaning it can survive a dunk in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes.
LG announced that the Action CAM LTE will be released next month in South Korea and will come to Europe and North America in the coming months.
