Man spends a day in VR - sets Guinness World Record

There is now an official Guinness World Record for the most time spent in virtual reality while playing a game. Filmmaker Derek Westerman now holds the record, having spent 25 hours in VR.

He strapped on the HTC Vive and spent his time playing Tilt Brush, a VR painting app. You can see glimpses of his masterpieces in the video below.

The experience wasn't all smooth sailing though. Westerman had to pee into a bucket at one point, while still wearing the headset, which is a feat in itself. And he also suffered from a touch of vertigo at one point and called upon the bucket again, this time to vomit.

Guinness says that the record was set on April 7th, but the video was only published this week. Now that it's out in the wild, it's unlikely to be too long before someone else explores a VR space for even longer.
