Fitbit teases 'exciting new products'

Fitbit held its quarterly company earnings call, in which it revealed that it had a stronger-than-expected quarter for revenue after taking in around €441.2 million. The company reported that it sold 4.8 million devices in the quarter.

Its performance was no doubt aided by the release of two new wearables, the Fitbit Blaze smartwatch and Fitbit Alta fitness tracker. They made up 47% of the financial period's sales.

Fitbit is already looking to the future and has more devices to release later this year. No release date was given, but it's expected they'll land before the end of the year. Fitbit CEO James Park teased that they are "exciting new products," but that's about all he was willing to share.
