What do you think of this "sale" bargain?

There is no doubting the popularity Penneys has with the Irish public, but this price tag found in one of their stores today raises a few eyebrows.

Shopping in their outlet on Patrick’s Street in Cork today, Irish Examiner journalist Denise O’Donoghue noticed something strange with the price of the top she was looking at.

Penneys are known for their sales, but we can’t quite figure out why they would highlight an item doubling in price.
