Green Room director picks his best John Carpenter films

Green Room is an upcoming thriller from Jeremy Saulnier, and that's a name you're going to want to remember because its one of the best films of the year.

Of course the cool people already knew Saulnier from his blistering 2013 effort Blue Ruin, and the really, really cool people might even have caught Murder Party way back in 2007.

Regardless of your personal level of coolness, Saulnier is an exciting new(ish) talent and he's been out promoting Green Room over the last few months. When The Playlist caught up with the filmmaker they decided to give him a chance to list his favourite John Carpenter films of all time.
