This week on the red carpet: Gemma Chan, America Ferrera, Katie Holmes, Elizabeth Olsen

Gemma Chan looked cool in Markus Lupfer at the gala opening of Doctor Faustus in London. 

The lipstick and Pacman-print minidress is from next-season’s collection and she kept it from looking too cutesy with a biker jacket and Chelsea boots.

America Ferrera glowed in a two-tone cocktail dress at the Special Correspondents premiere during the TriBeCa Film Festival. The design is by Romona Keve?za and she accessorised with gold Jimmy Choos and a matching box clutch.

Katie Holmes looked chic and understated at the New York premiere of Ray Donovan. She wore an oversize polka-dot blouse and lingerie-inspired skirt from Chloé. The skirt and shoes look great but I think this ensemble would be smarter with something more tailored on top.

Elizabeth Olsen was stunning in ivory silk at the European premiere of Captain America: Civil War in London. This keyhole-front gown is by Alexander McQueen and definitely the week’s best red-carpet look.
