HTC's Nexus devices' codenames and specs leaked

Evan Blass, who has a solid reputation for leaks, tweeted that the Nexus handsets are codenamed M1 and S1. This ties into previous reports where the codenames "Marlin" and "Sailfish" were mentioned.

The benchmark results on Geekbench give us some idea of their specs. Strangely, the device tested is listed as "google Nexus 6P." This was the name of one of the models from last year and its specs are quite different to that device. The Geekbench results point to a Qualcomm 820 processor and 4GB RAM. Its motherboard is labelled "marlin" and it's running Android N, which is the clearest indication that these results are for this year's model.
