Online and in the shops: Tiger collaborations by Misaki Kawai

Japanese and Scandi style have come together in the latest limited edition collection from Tiger which arrives in stores today. 

Misaki Kawai’s exuberant art has appeared at places like MoMA PS1 in New York.

She has designed a collection for Tiger of 28 fun and quirky items, including toys and homeware, meant to encourage play for children and adults.

MARVEL-LOUS TOYS: Captain America and Iron Man turn from friends to enemies in Captain America: Civil War, the latest Marvel film which opens today.

Meanwhile,the Caped Crusader is the superhero of toy sales at Argos where Batman toys are outselling Superman by two to one.

Sales increased 243% following the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with the Batman Epic Strike Batmobile (€32.99) as the number one seller, followed by the Batman v Superman Voice Changer Helmet (€35.19).

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP: The Academy of Popular Music in Cork has announced a new scholarship for its Summer In The Studio summer camps.

Based in the CIT School of Music, the academy will run two camps in July and August for students aged 10 to 20 who have an interest in pop singing, guitar, bass, drums, or keys.

Students will also have the opportunity to work with academy director and vocal coach for The Voice of Ireland Trish Rooney.
