VIDEO: Chris Hemsworth is hilarious in Ghostbusters

There's a reboot of Ghostbusters on the way with a mostly female cast and a whole lot of pressure to deliver for fans of the franchise.

Alongside the likes of Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, the film will also star Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, in the part of Kevin. He's the company receptionist and it's looking like a great comedy role for the charasmatic actor.

This stuff is all genuinely funny, though it's a bit strange to be promoting the film based on a secondary male character when there are so many talented ladies in the main roles. Hemsworth is a well known face, and a very attractive one, so it's also not that surprising.

Sony has had a bit of an uphill battle with Ghostbusters so far with many fans automatically assuming it's going to be a disaster. That's particularly unfair given the roster of comedy folks involved, as well as director Paul Feig who has had success with Bridesmaids and Spy.

We're definitely giving this one the benefit of the doubt.

Ghostbusters is in cinemas in Ireland on the 15th of July, 2016.
