Lionsgate brings blockbuster movies to Steam - but not in Ireland

Steam already has more games than you could comfortably play in a lifetime, and now it's looking to increase its movie offerings.

Lionsgate brings blockbuster movies to Steam - but not in Ireland

The platform, which is owned by Half-Life creators Valve, has completed a major deal with Lionsgate studios to offer up their slate of blockbuster films, which will increase the movie library significantly on the service.

Over 100 movies are being offered initially, including The Hunger Games series, Divergent movies and those Twilight flicks. Right now you can search for Lionsgate at a provider and we're only seeing the likes of Leprechaun and it's three sequels, suggesting that the content might be restricted by regions.

Hopefully more movie are offered worldwide soon, as currently there doesn't seem to be anything worth watching in the Irish store, and it will cost an alarming €4 to watch Warwick Davis terrorising Jennifer Aniston as a vaguely Irish sounding creep.
