South Park's Trey Parker will voice Despicable Me 3's villain

South Park creator Trey Parker will voice Despicable Me 3’s villain, Balthazar Bratt.

The character is described as a former 80s child star whose show was cancelled, which understandably upset him. Not only that, but he’s had to deal with mockery, which drives him to seek world domination – it’s much harder to mock someone with that much power after all.

One of the themes in this movie will be sibling rivalry, which will be provided by Gru’s long-lost identical twin Drew. Steve Carrell will voice both characters who look the same, aside from Drew’s luscious blond hair and all-white wardrobe.

Universal Pictures didn’t share much more information at CinemaCon, but we’re sure to hear more in the coming months.

Despicable Me 3 is scheduled for release on June 30, 2017.
