Now that's how you market a film - big on the entertaining elements, those famous faces and the all important explosions. We don't really need to know much about their motivations or anything else about the story, just sell us on the spectacle and leave the rest as a surprise.

It doesn't hurt that it looks like a particularly full blooded battle too, with Fuqua managing to put some serious violence into box office hit The Equalizer in 2014. Chris Pratt is definitely channeling some Star Lord here but that's ok, and Washington is the definition of cool.

The simple story is the same as the 1960 version and Akira Kurosawa's 1954 original - a gang of rough men, seven in all, are hired by a small town to defend them from villains. Things get violent.

The Magnificent Seven is set for release in September 2016.
