Ratchet and Clank back on PS4 today

Famed action franchise Ratchet & Clank is back today, with a full remake of the original game for the PlayStation 4.

It's the debut of these cute critters on Sony's latest console and the early reviews are suggesting that it might just be the best game in the series, not to mention one of the finest examples of the genre currently available on the PS4.

The game is about a Lombax (basically a fox-cat looking thing) who is out to stop a baddie called Chairman Drek who wants to destroy other planets to make room for his own. He meets up with a very proper robot called Clank and gaming history is made.

For the re-imagining, the entire game has been remade with cutting edge graphics and features expanded parts of the story and levels, as well as elements from future games in the series. Here's the launch trailer.

If you're looking for something to play, or have a fondness for the series, this is a great way to get back up to speed with all things R&C, especially as there's an animated feature film on its way into cinemas soon.
