Hands-on with the Huawei P9

Huawei announced the P9 at the beginning of April. We recently went hands on with it to see how the follow-up to the impressive P8 fares.

Hands-on with the Huawei P9

One of the hallmarks of the P8 was its impressive camera, but Huawei felt that more could be done. With the P9, it wanted to enable people to get more artistic with photos and teamed up with photography experts Leica to co-engineer a camera setup that will let users do more.

We can say that Huawei accomplished what it set out to do. Pictures taken using the P9 are packed with detail and colour, which is the result of the dual-camera setup. The P9 features two 12MP sensors, an RGB sensor and a monochrome sensor. The former is designed to capture colour, while the latter focuses on image detail. The monochrome sensor also allows for some artistic expression, letting you capture stunning greyscale images.
