Yesterday we received the disappointing news that a new British polar research ship may not be called Boaty McBoatface after all.

Despite winning an online poll by a massive majority, gaining 124,109 votes in the process, British Science Minister Jo Johnson said that all the names will be "reviewed" after some "very imaginative" suggestions by the public.
