Rubberbandits’ Blindboy Boatclub has opened up about his struggle with mental health – asking the public to support the organisations that help those in need.

Taking to Facebook to share the video, the Limerick star asked fans to donate two euro to Pieta House, a mental health organisation that has helped numerous lives.

According to Blindboy, if everyone who liked Pieta Houses’ page donated, it would provide 720 people in Ireland with 12 free counselling sessions.

Opening up about his own experiences, the Limerick star revealed he suffered from anxiety and depression as a teenager.

“I couldn’t open a can of Fanta without having a panic attack,” he said.
