Mod lets you play Doom in VR

While there’s a new Doom due this year, sometimes it’s difficult to beat the classics. And now one such classic, Doom, can be played with a virtual reality headset; the past and present collide!

You’ll need to download a mod to enjoy this experience. As highlighted by PC Gamer, the GZ3Doom is a mod that’s based on a mod. Installing it allows you to play Doom via an Oculus Rift VR headset.

There’s also a bit of reading required, so head to the GZ3Doom section of the RotatingPenguin website to find out how to download and run the mod.

Thankfully, you’ll be able to look up in-game, so that won’t be an issue as you might have expected, though it still doesn’t look like it impacts your aim.
