Creed's Tessa Thompson joins Thor: Ragnarok

Creed star Tessa Thompson is joining Thor: Ragnarok, though her exact role is unknown.

According to Deadline, she will play “a kind of superhero,” and is also lined up to be a new love interest for Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Natalie Portman, who was Thor’s love interest in the previous two films as Dr. Jane Foster, is not returning.

Thompson’s appearance won’t be a once off. She has reportedly signed on to appear in future MCU movies too.

The cast of Thor: Ragnarok also includes Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, and Cate Blanchett, as well as Chris Hemsworth.

Thor: Ragnarok is set to open in cinemas on October 27th.
