Smart umbrella warns you when it's going to rain

If you miss the weather forecast, you may not need to fret as a smart umbrella will let you know that you’ll be needing it.

Smart umbrella warns you when it's going to rain

There’s currently a Kickstarter running for the Oombrella. This connected umbrella features a mini weather station with temperature, pressure, humidity and light sensors, which then connect to a smartphone app via Bluetooth.

The app gives you a 15-minute warning that it’s going to rain, so you can grab the Oombrella before heading out, while there’s also a “forget me not” feature so that you don’t leave it behind you when out and about.

Of course, the Oombrella also comes with social features, just in case you want to track down Oombrella users nearby, and the ability to track stats of trips taken while using the umbrella. There’s even a camera screw on top in case you want to use it as a GoPro pole.

The Oombrella is seeking €59,000 in funding.
