Watch a clip from The Man Who Knew Infinity with Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons
Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian mathematician who was born in 1887 and stuggled for many years to be recognised by his peers. In the early 20th century he got the chance to travel to Cambridge in the UK, where his work was slowly recognised as being of huge importance.
This story has been made into a feature film starring Dev Patel as Ramanujan and Jeremy Irons as his closest ally G.H. Hardy, with the plot based on the 1991 book of the same name by Robert Kanigel. It comes to the screen from writer/director Matt Brown.
