Watch as the Vector power race boat roars around Cork harbour ahead of Venture Cup

An unusual sight for the people of Cobh as one of the world's fastest powerboats spent the afternoon roaring around Cork harbour.

The sleek Vector Martini Rosso V40R race boat, which has a maximum speed of 215km and which has recently broken four speed records, was put through its paces off Cobh earlier on today.

A total of 25 international teams will compete in the week-long Venture Cup race, with celebrity team members including male supermodel David Gandy and survival expert Bear Grylls.
